Agios Nikitas Μonastery Beach
The chapel of the Monastery of Agios Nikitas dates back to 1640 and is built on a rock, creating a sight of otherworldly beauty, as the lush vegetation that surrounds it is in complete contrast to the barren and rocky terrain of the place.
In fact, inside the monastery, in a small naturally created cave, there are stalactites, the water of which is considered holy and is shared among the faithful. The beaches below the monastery offer moments of relaxation, as the view extends over the entire Cretan sea. At a distance of only 300 meters from the monastery, there is the palm forest of Agios Antonios.
